Wendy Coleman
Wendy Yvonne Electrolysis Clinic
Bio
My clinic is based within a podiatry practice, the lay out is professional and kept to a high clinical standard.
I specialised in Electrolysis after many years experience as a beauty therapist and salon owner
I was trained in the latest techniques by top industry professionals at the Sterex Academy in 2015 and gained a VTCT level four in Advanced epilation techniques in 2016.
I took the IISHCA (International Institute of Skin Health and Clinical Aesthetics) certificate in Advanced Skin Science in 2019 gaining a distinction.
I undertook specialist transgender electrolysis training in August 2022 and was added to the NHS list of registered providers of electrolysis at the beginning of May 2023. I have been BUPA registered since July 2025. I have a beautiful trans daughter so I have witnessed many of the challenges and struggles faced during transition. During part of my working week I am a Paediatric Healthcare Chaplain, when visiting the mental health unit I meet many young people struggling with transition.
I currently work in the clinic by appointment only on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturdays.
It is often difficult for me to answer the phone so please leave a message, email or text me with your enquiry.
I look forward to welcoming you.

CPD type | Date of Event | Organisation | Learning/Actions |
|---|---|---|---|
Miscellaneous Industry Related - 5 CPD | 25/09/2025 | Positioning of client, self and Optivizion, is a very different technique working at different angles for different areas. Benefits: more precise insertions due to adjustable magnification, improved posture for electrologist, clients can be more involved in the treatment, enables longer working times. Disadvantages::many hours of practice needed | |
Self Directed Learning - 2 CPD | 07/08/2025 | Experimented with different currents on body hair and noted skin reaction, compared skin reaction with slow thermolysis, found that flash techniques work more efficiently on body hair with less skin reaction | |
1 Day Practical Refresher - 7 CPD | 03/06/2025 | HOF Beauty | Micro Flash/Thermo Flash, Multiplex, two pulse technique to treat both bulb and bulge, Omniblend, Pulsing blend & Multiblend, heating patterns, pre-sets & adjustments, correct probe selection for flash settings, use and benefits of Anaphoresis pre-epilation and Cataphoresis, practice technique using Opti-vizion Flip |
Virtual Seminars - 4 CPD | 17/09/2024 | cofe Birmingham Safeguarding Team | Social Graces a framework to think about biases, identity and power in relationships, responding to a disclosure (4r's recognise, respond, record, refer) |
MASCED Qualification - CPD | 23/11/2024 | Skcin | Difference between Non-Melanoma and Melanoma presentation, Nodular Melanoma EFG rule |
Self Directed Learning - 2 CPD | 16/11/2024 | Positive Pathways | Refreshed knowledge |
Self Directed Learning - 2 CPD | 01/06/2024 | Theory around calculating units of lye for blend treatments and practical experimentation with currents | |
Self Directed Learning - 2 CPD | 21/10/2024 | Understanding of flash/microflash, fast blend and adjusting starting points and timings of HF and Galvanic during blend treatments. | |
1 Day Practical Refresher - 7 CPD | 19/10/2023 | Sterex | refreshed knowledge on advanced blemish removal, learnt new alternative techniques for seb K and age spots, gained confidence with wart and verruca treatment, peer discussions about industry and treatment challenges. |
