Enid studied electrolysis alongside beauty therapy at Chichester College
of Technology where she qualified in1980.
Enid developed a passion for the treatment and the benefits it brought to
her clients and was encouraged to join the then Institute of Electrolysis
by one of her lecturers whilst practicing as a beauty therapist and
electrolysist.
Enid opened her first salon in 1987 where she sought to develop her and
her staff’s expertise as skilled electrolysists.
Enid has maintained regular professional development, retaking the
BIAE entrance examination in 2009, as well as the Advanced
Electrolysis course and the refresher, further enhancing her knowledge
of electrolysis through regular update training. In 2019 Enid gained the
NVQ Level IV qualification in Advanced Electrolysis.
In July 2016 Enid celebrated 25 years in business as a beauty salon
proprietor and specialist in electrolysis. Enid’s business success has
been built on her attention to detail and excellent customer care.
Enid’s experience in treating clients has made her acutely aware that
there is no better way of treating clients’ excess hair conditions than with
electrolysis.
Enid knows that it is important to promote electrolysis as a treatment of
choice in its areas of application and to challenge poor practice and
misunderstandings.
From 2017 to 2022 Enid enjoyed using her experience, enthusiasm, and
expertise as a BIAE board member, to promote the profession to the
public and emphasise the importance of properly trained and skilled
electrolysists.
In order to prepare herself to teach others, Enid completed the NCFE
Level 3 Award in Education and Training during 2023. She hopes to
deliver electrolysis training from her premises in Portchester.
