Pre-Requisites for Membership

Step 1:

Pass the following national level 3 standard entry courses.

• Degree or Foundation Degree with assessed Epilation input.
• BTEC Higher National Diploma or National Diploma in Beauty Therapy.
• S/NVQ Level3, C & G, CIBTAC, BTCT or equivalent in Electrical Epilation.
• Medical qualifications (i.e. Nursing (GRN) or Physiotherapy (MSCP) may be used as accreditation towards the assessment, but require further clinical and theoretical study in order to be successful.
• Other Epilation qualifications will be accredited but again a supplementary course may be required.

Proof of certification is necessary in all cases

Step 2:

Apply with qualification evidence to show competence in both Blend and Diathermy, together with payment and successfully pass the practical and written assessment. A revision manual will be supplied and a pre-assessment workshop is available. A workshop may also be available for Blend.

Step 3:

The Certificate in Remedial Electrolysis (C.R.E) will be awarded and you may use the designation 'MBIAE.CRE'. Thereafter payment of annual subscription allows you to continue to enjoy all the benefits of membership.
