Perseverance allowed Melissa to get a distinction for the exam in 1980. Since then Melissa has worked continuously, giving electrolysis treatments plus teaching the subject. Today Melissa is the London Electrolysis Trainer for reknowned Sterex.

Melissa recently decided to take the BIAE exam which she was very happy to pass with a great mark of 94% and the most amazing feedback from the examiners, and Elaine Stoddart, Director of Education & PR at Sterex commented that Melissa was “absolutely brilliant”.

Melissa offer’s treatments (when not teaching) from her home clinic. Working with an appointment only system, whereby individual timeslots are made to suit each person ensuring that the regularity they require can be offered. Melissa uses all 3 methods of Electrolysis to enable a comfortable treatment to suit each client. Some prefer the shortwave diathermy (high frequency) method; others choose galvanic electrolysis, many preferring the blend. Melissa always begins with a full and thorough consultation ensuring the client is aware of their part in the process of reducing their hair problem (or indeed for any skin lesion). Melissa uses the same equipment to offer advanced cosmetic procedures, for the removal of many skin lesions including moles, warts, broken capillaries, thread veins, skin tags, milia, sebaceous cysts, blood spots, etc to name a few.
